About this deal

That raised my eyebrows as the invoice for my oil pump repair is quite clear, and then noticing coolant drained is not pink, more red. I’ve normally used Comma G30 Xstream in my other car which uses OAT (MGF) and I’ve got a full bottle of the damn stuff in the garage. The original G12EVO Ready Mix coolant additive is specially designed for the engines of the VW Group’s brands. What are the marked enhancements in quality in comparison to its forerunners G11, G12, G12+ and G12++? VW Volkswagen Original G13 Coolant is the ideal coolant solution for VW and Audi vehicles, offering premium protection for your engine.

An excessive proportion of coolant additive (more than 60 per cent) can result in bursting pipes and the engine boiling, while an insufficient amount (less than 40 per cent) can cause cracks in the cylinder block/head or in the cooling system through expansion of the coolant. Looking at the Pentosin data sheets: Pentosin SF (pink) crosses to G12, Pentosin E (violet) crosses to G13. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It can be left in the system as a coolant and rust inhibitor for up to a maximum of 5 years in accordance with vehicle manufacturers requirements.Next to protection against freezing, the G13 is also excellent for cooling and protection against corrosion and chalk deposits. All content is viewed and used by you at your own risk and we do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of any of the information. G13 is Glycerine based and comes as a concentrate you dilute with distilled water (also discontinued I think).

When mixed in the recommended ratio with distilled or demineralized water, its chemical inhibitors protect engine coolant passages, radiator, water pump, and cooling system pipes from corrosion damage. I'm about to do a cam-belt and coolant pump on my 2010 TT TDI so I've been looking into what coolant to use as I'm intending to replace rather than catch and refill. However, we recommend thoroughly flushing your cooling system when upgrading from a different type of coolant. As the successor of G12++, this advanced coolant formula provides top-notch performance to keep your engine running smoothly and efficiently. But I still think it's inexcusable for Audi to put an "old" coolant tank in the car with G12 on it if the car didn't come with G12 in it from the factory. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Their antifreeze specification has continually evolved through time resulting in the latest (G13) established in 2013. The advanced additives in the G13 coolant create a protective barrier inside the cooling system, guarding against rust and corrosion, which can cause damage and reduce the lifespan of engine components. Just an aside, some of the other reviewers suggest this needs to be diluted but when I checked on my bottle it said it was ready-mixed and also contacted the seller who confirmed it was ready to use.
